ALPP Board Certified Lactation Counselor

The Certified Lactation Counselor® (CLC®) certification identifies a
professional in lactation counseling who has demonstrated the
necessary skills, knowledge, and attitudes to provide clinical
breastfeeding counseling and management support to families who
are thinking about breastfeeding or who have questions or
problems during the course of breastfeeding/lactation.

what is a CLC?
CLC certification means that a person has received training and
competency verification in breastfeeding and human lactation
support, including assessing the latching and feeding process,
 providing corrective interventions, counseling mothers,
understanding and applying knowledge of milk production including
in special circumstances and other commonly encountered
 situations. - Center for Breastfeeding

lactation support in your home
Jessica offers lactation support with in-home and virtual options.
Services include: Latch assessments, private and semi- private
breastfeeding classes, couples breastfeeding classes - corrective
actions for plugged ducts, milk supply issues, poor latch, and
 more.

REIMBURSEMENT: Like many CLCs in the current insurance
climate, I don’t work directly with insurance. Fee is paid upfront.
Clients submit the superbill (a receipt of payment) to insurance for
reimbursement. Calling your insurance company in advance of the
visit, with Jessica’s NPI number, to see at what level your plan and
 insurance company reimburses is advised.
